John is an entrepreneur and investor with a background in Mergers & Acquisitions. He is a co-founder and director of BrasPay, Inc., a developer of FinTech software solutions. Between 2007 and 2016, John served as CEO and later as Chairman of The Meet Group (NASDAQ: MEET), a consumer internet company. Under John’s tenure, MEET consolidated a series of ‘meet new people’ social networking properties, including MyYearbook for $100MM and Skout for $55MM, resulting in market capitalization increase from approximately $13MM to $325MM or a 733% increase on a per share basis. John began his career at JP Morgan, where he worked in the Latin America Mergers & Acquisitions area between 1992 and 2005 in New York and São Paulo. John holds an AB in History from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard University.
Mariano is a FinTech entrepreneur with close to 20 years’ experience within the internet, mobile and FinTech sectors. Bringing close to 10 years’ experience in the fintech sector with a focus on Latin America, Mariano has launched and operated businesses across countries like Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Dominican Republic. He led the operations for online unsecured leaders like Enova International and 4finance, managing their operations throughout Latin America. Through his leadership, 4finance became the first pure unsecured online lender throughout multiple countries in Latin America. Mariano has a BA/BS from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Song is a FinTech and cryptocurrency expert with over 20 years of software engineering experience. Since 2012, Song has served as co-founder and President of BrasPay, Inc., a developer of FinTech software solutions. Song’s recent FinTech projects include development of a cryptocurrency-based betting platform, a mobile payment wallet for a major international telecom company and a mobile banking system for a Latin American non-bank financial institution. Between 2009 and 2012, Song was Founder and CEO of Dotblu, Inc., a group purchase platform, acquired by BuyWithMe (Gilt Group). Previously, Song was co-founder and Director of Engineering at Loyalty Lab, Inc, acquired by TIBCO in 2005.
Dave served as Chief Analytics Officer at Waybeyond Rewards. Bringing more than a decade of credit and fraud risk management experience to this role, Dave has deployed analytical solutions to drive innovation across Risk, Payments, and Product Management. Previously he served as Head of Risk & Analytics at SmartPay and its parent company, Tempoe, where he developed risk management systems and strategies for point of sale financing in both retail and online channels. He previously held credit risk roles at MUFG Union Bank and Moodys Analytics. Dave holds a CFA designation and is a graduate of Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California.
Andres brings 15+ years of experience in the Marketing and Communications arena across The Americas. He has worked with prominent marketing agencies managing regional marketing strategy for clients such as Sony, Universal and Symantec. In recent years, Andres has focused on leading strategies to target Latin American and US Hispanic markets, building a solid track record of managing marketing, advertising and public relations teams and strategies, with a focus on digital media and the Fintech sector in recent years. Prior joining Boom Credit, Andres worked in 4Finance as Head of Marketing for Latin America, successfully launching the operations of various countries. He holds an MBA with concentration in Marketing from the Florida International University and a BSC in Communications from the Univesity of la Sabana in Colombia.
